Who the camps are for: Any drummer who identifies as female (cis or trans) and/or gender non-conforming

Locations for 2024:

SEATTLE: September 13 & 14 One spot just opened up!

SEATTLE: September 20 & 21 SOLD OUT

ATLANTA: October 4 & 5 1 spot left

BAY AREA: October 19 & 20 SOLD OUT

Time: 10am to 7pm

Level: Beginner to intermediate. The only requirement is that you can play a basic rock beat.

Cost: $699

Camps are limited to six students. Cost does not include travel, food or lodging. A $200 non-refundable deposit is collected at the time of enrollment, the remainder is due 3 weeks prior to camp.

what we'll do at camp

Drum kits will be placed in a circle - see photo above. Handouts, materials and wireless headphones will be provided. If you're coming from out of town, a drumset will be provided.

💥 Work on your foot & hand speed and control

💥 Transform your fills by developing vocabulary and creativity for improvising

💥 Learn musiciality and dynamics in real-time as you're playing

💥 Discover JJ's signature method to pull out, work on and master difficult passages

💥 Play iconic songs, beats and fills with other female drummers!

💥 Jam with a live female bass player and guitarist to close out the camp

💥 Visit a local music store to learn how to shop for drum gear

New! Campers hear music, metronome, and instruction in real time through wireless headphones. Each pair has its own volume control -- and the padding around each ear provides hearing protection from the drums.
